Boho Themed Birthday Party

Happy HALF Birthday Colette!! Have you ever celebrated a half birthday?  When Modify Ink wanted to share their new Boho Dreams theme, I decided it was time to celebrate my baby’s half birthday (18 months).  I just wrapped Kalia’s Frozen Birthday party and it was an explosion of Anna, Elsa and Olaf everywhere and not exactly a theme I would choose…  However, it was exactly what she wanted,  but I did not get to go all crazy for her party! So, my friends, welcome to crazy town.

The beautiful invite for my baby girl with a watercolor backing (all colors & designs chosen by me but can be altered by YOU) .

Modify Ink creates party suites that are 100% customizable.  You choose your party suite, like the Boho Dreams one, and then pick any colors and font you want to use for the party.  You are custom making your party- we all know I love pink, but if you hate pink? Make this party gray, black and white or red, purple and blue.  Whatever YOU want!

But, we are on A Bubbly Life, so I designed a pink, mint green and white color palette for Colette’s half birthday party.  I loved the font they used in their suite and stuck with that for my designs- but you can choose any font you want.

A place card with a diy-ed mini arrow (glue cut out triangles and feathers to a bamboo skewer- easy). (pink plate via SuiteOne Studio, green plate-painted by me)

Modify Ink encourages you to think outside the standard one design party printable in a box- I encourage you to think outside the box for your standard party decorations!

I used the large stickers to decorate homemade tambourines for the kiddos.  The DIY tambourine tutorial is here!

The party suite also comes with large signs used to name your food, favors, etc.  I used the sign to give a shout out to the tambourines.  An embroidery hoop and some feathers give it an ethereal, soft look.

Large circles meant for banners made the perfect chairbacks.

Need an anchor for a floating floral lantern (DIY tutorial floral lantern located here) ?  Mini champagne bottle and a large sticker-

This floral lantern has been on my DIY to do list for awhile, I cannot wait to share the tutorial with you! Tutorial located here

Small stickers adorned paper cups and now that I have had a mini fringe tassel on my drink, I do not want a drink another way!

I have found the cure for my terrible cake decorating skills- the naked cake!  Add some flags, flowers and your decorating is done!

Ok, the frosting is not totally perfect, but I’m human and this is the best looking cake I have ever made!!

Makeover some plain favor bags-

I added some watercolored feathers to the banner I created- I chose HOORAY! You can pick any phrase/letters/words you want!

I did this party for a holiday I made up- Colette’s half birthday-  with our little family of four and we all got to eat cake and celebrate and play music (my husband plays guitar & drums, so the girls love musical instruments).  I think everything here is perfect for a bridal shower, baby shower, etc…
