How to Make a Cucumber Salty Dog Cocktail

My first cocktail recipe ever on A Bubbly Life was a cucumber Greyhound.  I love it.  What is the difference between a Greyhound and a Salty Dog you ask?  Salt.
A greyhound does not have a salted rim and a salty dog does.  Easy.  I do not think it really needs its’ own name, but bartenders make these rules, not I.  And, it gave me an excuse to make another cocktail for the blog and then sip and enjoy it at home.  So, I am a fan of the two names for essentially the same ingredients.

Like the cucumber greyhound, I use cucumber vodka for the Salty Dog.  Cucumber vodka is so refreshing.  It is WAY better this way than with just vodka.

Ingredients:
1 part Cucumber Vodka
2 parts Grapefruit Juice
Salt
Cucumber, grapefruit for garnish
Shake the cucumber vodka, grapefruit juice and ice in your cocktail shaker.  (I use fresh squeezed because I live in AZ & grapefruit is everywhere)
Salt the rim of your glass so you can call the cocktail a Salty Dog.  To get the salt to stick, rim the glass with any citrus and dip in salt.
