I have partnered with the wonderful non-profit organization, Habitat for Humanity, to share their Home is the Key campaign that addresses the nation’s rising affordable housing crisis. Over the past 40 years, Habitat has built thousands of homes for those in need, providing shelter and stability for thousands of people.
I am sharing my master bedroom refresh this week, as it is they key to our home. I thought long and hard about what the key to our home is- the kitchen where I make all our meals & we sit & chat about our day? the family room where we snuggle on the couch during movie time? my plant room where I get some quiet time & peace? Making our house a home is so important to me and decorating and creating spaces we love create our home. Ultimately, when I think of our happiest family moments at home, it is when we hear the pitter patter of little feet coming down the hallway and the girls jumping into our bed to wake us every weekend morning. We laugh (sometimes, I beg for coffee first) and we snuggle and all is right with the world. Our hearts are bursting with love and Nick & I cannot believe how blessed we are. When the kids are sick, they stay in here. When they have a bad dream, they are comforted here. And now I reach over and grab baby Cole from his bassinet and comfort/nurse him throughout night in here. The key to our home is love.
