My apologies if you follow me on instagram stories and voted for the grapefruit cocktail recipe as my next cocktail recipe (it had the most votes). The old fashioned still had a ton of votes and I decided to share this cocktail recipe first because I thought the old fashioned cocktail gave off a fall-halloween vibe and it is October and all. It also is Nick’s new favorite cocktail to try when we go out to restaurants (which is never, so he has probably had like 4 haha) so we decided to try making it at home which is more realistic for us enjoying a cocktail these days.
Classic Old Fashioned Recipe-
Sugar Cube (now this is where do not go classic, I do a drop of stevia, no idea if stevia is actually better for you than sugar, but we feel better about it so…)
Add sugar cube or stevia to glass and a couple dashes of angostura bitters. Muddle the sugar cube and bitters. Add a big old ice cube (no need to shake this cocktail in a shaker) Add 2 ounces of whiskey, garnish with a cherry and orange peel.
