Hi there! This is Kerry from Burritos & Bubbly, and I’m excited to help fill in for Laurel while she spends some quality time with her new baby girl. I knew right away that there was just one thing I should talk about today: bubbly! Well, of course. It’s something Laurel and I both love, and I’m sure she’s looking forward to being able to have a glass again soon!
I first developed this bubbly cranberry-lemonade punch when my girlfriends were coming over for a little get together at my house. I wanted to make something that was as pretty as it was delicious. I’m no bartender, so I figured, if I put all my favorite things together, what could go wrong? The punch I came up with has just the right mix of tart from the lemons and sweet from the St. Germaine, plus all the flavor of cranberry. It was a huge success, and everyone was back for seconds… and thirds!
Here’s a couple of tips: add the bubbly last so it’ll still be fizzy when you start serving, and use whatever kind you want. I chose the cheapest bottle at my grocery store, and it was great.
I love the Limonata San Pellegrino in this punch because it’s fizzy and has a strong lemon flavor without being sweet (almost like lemoncello-flavored pop). I think it’s a great thing to have in the fridge to mix with a lot of different drinks. You can usually find it in the “fancy water” aisle of the grocery store, but if you can’t find it, you could juice a bunch of lemons or use pre-made lemonade. You’d just want to adjust your sugar amount if you use something that’s already sweet.
