I am not much of a fan of dried florals or fake plants. However, at our cabin in Flagstaff, I really wanted something pretty to accent the table and some rooms, but my go- to is fresh flowers, succulents or cacti. However, since it is a vacation rental, we will not be here enough to take care of anything that is alive and needs watering, sunlight, etc…
I was going to jump on the pampas grass bandwagon, but we were having a party in flagstaff and I needed something immediately. I found these cute bunny ears at Michaels and decided to dye them more in my style.
Materials:
Kool Aid for dying (I used the watermelon flavor to get the pink color, there are many different color kool aids, so grab your favorite color)
Water
Vase
Bunny Ears
I soaked the bunny ears in a mixture of kool aid and water for about an hour and then I put the bunny ears in the sun to dry. You can check the color as you go and soak for longer or shorter to get your color choice.
We love it, and by me, I mean Nick and I, he really likes them, which makes me happy!!
