Valentine’s Day is this week and I thought a pink cocktail with your love or your best friend would be a perfect addition to any Valentine or Galentine celebration. We all know I love pink year round, so the cocktail is good for ANYTIME.
P.S.- the recipe is a classic pink lady & not an original recipe from me
Ingredients:
2 ounces gin
1 large egg white (optional)
1/2 ounce heavy cream
1 teaspoon grenadine
Garnish: maraschino cherry
I did not use an egg white, just felt it was unnecessary. The pink color hue is from mixing the cream & grenadine. For lighter or darker pinks, play around with the amounts of the cream & grenadine. Be aware that it will change the flavor of the cocktail; for example, the more grenadine, the sweeter the cocktail will be.
The pink lady was a popular drink in the 1950s. Pink was a huge color in the 50s and not just for woman! So, “millenial pink” is not a new thing 😉
The classic garnish is a maraschino cherry- a perfect color pop for Valentine’s Day.
Happy Valentine’s & Galentine’s Day!! Enjoy your pink lady cocktail!
