When quarantine started, for some reason I got right to thinking about Easter. I figured the quarantine would last at least that long (and way longer) and I wanted to make it special for the kids. Our tradition is a big easter egg hunt in the morning and typically I host a large dinner for family (over the years that has switched off when I have not been able) but Easter is a holiday I like to host. The girls were disappointed we were not going to see anyone for Easter dinner. So, I wanted to make Easter dinner cute for them and make the decor more kid centric. I usually make it more adult and it was fun to create an Easter dinner or brunch table for the kiddos!
I took Cole’s Miffy lamp from his room and gave Miffy a eucalyptus and flower crown, I may have lost my mind with quarantine, lol.
The bunny plates from Meri Meri Party are on top of plates I painted (I buy thrifted white plates and paint in shades I need for posts, you cannot eat on them but perfect for photo shoots and for a plate on top of them!)
I added strawberries, lemon and mint to the water and rosé for yours truly. We planted edible flowers in our garden for use in my styling work and now that I cannot leave the house to grocery shop, I am so happy we did planted the edible flowers! The floating edible flower in the rosé and the water is a beautiful, simple touch.
Happy Easter and love to all of you! I hope however you are spending this Easter holiday quarantine- you are able to zoom, facetime, skype your loved ones.
To get mushy, you are never alone and you are loved and there is always hope. Please reach out if you need help.
