On a rare occasion, we went to a friend’s house for dinner right before they started in person school so we could see them while quarantined and wait the few weeks after in person school potential exposure. These are crazy times my friends! They served a sidecar cocktail with dinner and I fell in love. I was very surprised as I am not a huge bourbon fan but loved the taste. here is my version of the drink (a bit more orange added)
Also, I went a little different with my photography- decided to go a little darker instead of my usual light photos. It is nice to switch it up here and there because creatively you can get bored!
Orange Sidecar Cocktail Recipe
2 Ounces Bourbon
1 ounce of Triple Sec or other orange liqueur
1 ounce of freshly squeezed orange
Squirt of Lemon Juice
Fresh Orange slice or Lemon slice for garnish
Enjoy a new cocktail! Many friends of mine have said they started making cocktails at home and get inventive for fun as a new hobby during quarantine. I did not take up baking, so it sounds good to me! I have taken up going back to pretty plating for fun, I used to plate our meals for Nick and I as a creative hobby, but kids take up so much time. i am trying to do it more and more as a daily creative outlet. You can check out Instagram to see some of my creations!
Have you taken up any new hobbies during quarantine?
