I cannot take credit for the DIY here, @aurelie.erikson on instagram came up with using wreaths cut in half as a rainbow arch. As you know, I love rainbow crafts- a similar concept using rope in my rainbow keychains and rainbow ornaments.
I thought it was brilliant to use wreaths and made one using pom poms as clouds for Cole’s rainbow shoot. However, Cole’s nursery is much more neutral, so I decided to do a twist on her brilliant DIY- and create a minimalist version for Cole’s nursery (he is a toddler now, should I still call it a nursery? lie to me and say yes, otherwise I will cry because he is getting too big)
Materials:
Styrofoam Wreaths (I did a two arch rainbow, the original DIY is 3 arches)
White Yarn
Scissors
Wooden Balls
Glue Gun
Wooden Skewer cut to size
After cutting the wreaths in half, loop yarn around each arch. You can tie a knot to keep it on or hot glue ends.
Connect arches by sticking that wooden skewer up middle lol. (I think it is better than using glue.)
Glue wooden balls to end of each arch.
This is so cute! I don’t know why when I think kids rooms I think bright colors, because this space looks so clean and relaxing!
Thank you! I kept my second girl’s minimalist too, something about all the toys being bright usually makes me want to tone down room!
